the highest grade of Corespun casing cord & optimized rubber compounds available,
Vittoria's exclusive Vittoria casing called "Compressed Warp" allows individual
threads to act independently, thereby significantly reducing surface deflection and
rolling resistance. This casing cord construction is made up of a single polyester
filament core and a wound cotton covering. The cotton offers improved bonding to the
natural rubber without any added stiffness, thus lowering the rolling resistance. The
Polyester cord is what gives these tires the needed strength for durability and ultra high
air pressures. In addition to the normal Corespun, these tires feature "Corespun
K" casing, which are made with 50% of KevlarŽ wires for better cut resistance and
strength, and "Corespun T" Casing, made with special wires to lower the
weight. 290 tpi w/ Kevlar reinforcement. One of the best clincher road racing
tires on the market. |
