The Isaac Sonic SXL frameset is constructed of feather-light carbon fiber monocoque structure that weighs under 900 grams. To shed grams without compromising performance, the Sonic is comprised of Ultrahigh Modulus Reinforced carbon (440 GPA) with variable layers strategically placed throughout the frame. Isaac is very logical in the design of the frame. Reinforcement and shaping of the tubes are the key to developing a frame that offers crisp, responsive action without robbing energy when you are rocking side to side on an aggressive climb. The tapered chainstays and fork add comfort and compliance while the elliptical head tube and bottom bracket areas prevent flex under high torque. The inner layers feature unidirectional carbon that are wrapped in a multi-directional 3K weaved outer shell. Isaac includes the 3K outer shell not just for aesthetics. This multi-directional shell acts similar to a lobster's exoskeleton to offer protection against damage to the under layers. The outer layers are where most of the momentums are transmitted. The overall design of the Sonic is very aerodynamic, stable, and perfect for climbing and descents. Its dual-diameter steerer offers handling like a racecar giving you blistering performance. You're able to control the frame while cornering in a race or descending tight switchbacks.
