2008 Isaac Impulse

The Isaac Impulse frameset is constructed of Ultrahigh Modulus Reinforced carbon (320 GPA) with variable layers strategically placed throughout the frame.  Like all Isaac frames, there is a very logical and scientific approach to how the frame is designed to achieve optimum balance of strength, weight, efficiency, comfort and handling.  Like its fraternal twin, the Sonic, the Impulse's reinforcement and shaping of the tubes are the key to developing a frame that offers crisp, responsive action without robbing energy when you are rocking side to side on an aggressive climb especially since the Impulse is 5% stiffer than the Sonic. If you are bigger rider, you'll notice the efficiency of power transfer when sprinting to the finish line.  Of course, the tapered chainstays and fork add comfort and compliance while the elliptical head tube and bottom bracket areas prevent flex under high torque.  The inner layers feature unidirectional carbon that are wrapped in a multi-directional 3K weaved outer shell.  Isaac includes the 3K outer shell not just for aesthetics.  This multi-directional shell acts similar to a lobster's exoskeleton to offer protection against damage to the under layers.  The outer layers are where most of the momentums are transmitted.  The overall design of the Impulse is very aerodynamic, stable, and perfect for climbing and descents.  Its dual-diameter carbon steerer offers handling like a racecar giving you blistering performance. The painted finish in either black or white looks like a stealth bomber on two wheels!
